COVID-19 Vaccine Dosing

We are happy to provide COVID-19 vaccinations for our community. Currently, we only administer Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 vaccines. The current dosing guidelines for Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 vaccines are as follows:

  • 1st Pfizer COVID Vaccine Dose - Ages 16 and Olde

  • 2nd Pfizer COVID Vaccine Dose - Ages 16 and Older (given 3-8 weeks after the 1st dose)

  • 3rd Pfizer COVID Vaccine Dose - Ages 16 and Older (given at least five months after completing 1st dosing series)

  • 4th Pfizer COVID Vaccine Dose - Ages 50 and Older, or immunocompromised (given at least four months since first booster dose)

  • A Pfizer initial dosing series is completed two weeks after the 2nd Pfizer COVID vaccine dose.

    • For example, if a patient receives their initial Pfizer vaccine on May 1, 2022, a second dose can be administered on May 22, 2022.

    • The dose course is considered ‘completed’ 2 weeks later, June 5, 2022. At this point, a patient has built complete immunity against the COVID-19 virus.

We Recommend Receiving the COVID-19 Vaccine

It is important to note that complete immunity does not mean you cannot become infected with COVID-19. Instead, it means that your immune system has the resources and information needed to recognize and attack the virus if it enters your body. The COVID-19 vaccine is intended to lower the severity of illness and reduce the risk of needing to be hospitalized. It is recommended that you keep up to date with local government authorities regarding masking requirements for the area.
