Flu Season

In the United States, flu season usually occurs during the fall and winter months. Although Influenza, the virus that causes the flu, is year-round, flu infections peak between November and February. Pneumococcal Vaccine

The pneumococcal vaccine can prevent serious pneumonia infections that can potentially become fatal. CDC recommends that the pneumococcal vaccine be administered to all adults aged 65 or older who have not previously received any pneumococcal vaccinations. Without this vital vaccine, those infected with the pneumococcal bacteria can become sick with pneumonia, meningitis, and sepsis (infection in the blood).

Ensure you and your family are protected against this preventable illness by setting up an appointment for a pneumococcal vaccine today.
